Limoblaze and Johnny Drille don link up again, and this time the message is simple enough to fit inside a WhatsApp status: you are “Already Loved.” The record landed at midnight on 24 September 2026 as the lead moment from Limoblaze’s new EP Father’s Love, released the next day through Reach Records. Runtime is about three minutes forty-seven. Long enough to calm your spirit, short enough to replay before your bus conductor start shouting “last stop.”
Who Is Behind the Song?
Limoblaze is the Nigerian-born Afro-gospel and Christian hip-hop voice who carried West African bounce into rooms that used to only know choir robes and American worship radio. If you know “Jireh (My Provider)” with Lecrae and Happi, you already understand the assignment: faith talk, but the drums still get swagger. Johnny Drille is the Nigerian singer-songwriter whose soft, folk-coloured tone has been soundtracking weddings, heartbreaks and late-night soul-searching across Lagos, Accra and beyond.
A Reunion With Receipts
This is not their first time sharing a mic. A few years back the pair gave us “This Loving,” and fans have been waiting for the sequel like Ghana waits for ECG to bring the light back. “Already Loved” feels like the grown-up continuation: less about chasing love, more about resting inside a love you no need to earn. That is the whole thesis of Father’s Love, and the title of the EP says it with zero confusion.
The Vibe
Picture the cover: a raised hand, a small star glowing in the palm, everything bathed in warm orange haze. The song carries that same energy, gentle and hopeful, the kind of gospel you can play for your mum on Sunday and still play for yourself on a stressful Tuesday. Limoblaze brings the conviction; Johnny Drille brings the tenderness. Nobody is shouting, nobody is forcing it.
Why It Matters Now
Afro-gospel is having a serious moment, and Limoblaze sits right at the centre of that crossover lane. Father’s Love also packs collaborations with Marizu, Oba Reengy, Emandiong, Teninlanimi and Oneskript on cuts like “This Kind Love,” “Talk & Do II” and “Ayaya,” so the EP is a proper family meeting of the new Naija gospel wave. For anybody who thinks faith music must sound old-fashioned, this one is your polite correction.
