Kumasi people, iron your suits. Strongman — the Rap Lord, the freestyle champion who now signs his own cheques at Strong Empire — has linked Kweku Darlington on a brand-new single titled “Disco”. And look at that cover: one in brown pinstripe, one in green pinstripe, a disco ball hanging overhead like a chandelier somebody borrowed from a 1978 wedding. Chale, these two did not come to the club in slippers.

“Disco” landed on Friday, 6 November 2026 as a standalone single, produced by FreddyBeatz and running 3:20. The official audio slide is already live on Strongman’s YouTube channel, the stores are stocked, and the Garden City has one more reason to dress up on Saturday night. Rapper on one side, melody man on the other, a producer who already knows the room — this one was cooked with the right ingredients.

🪩 “Disco” in 30 Seconds

A bright, dance-floor Ghana Afrobeats record that lets Strongman loosen his tie for once. Kweku Darlington carries the melodic hook in sweet Twi, Strongman drops in with that hard-pen Kumasi cadence, and FreddyBeatz keeps the groove moving like a DJ who knows the bride’s uncle is watching. Move first, analyse later. Out now on Apple Music, YouTube, YouTube Music, TIDAL and Amazon Music.

Who Are Strongman & Kweku Darlington?

Strongman — born Osei Kwaku Vincent — is the Kumasi rapper who turned battle bars into a career. He came up through Sarkodie’s Sarkcess Music, then went independent and built Strong Empire into his own home base. His 2024 project God & Rap proved he could swing between heavy rap and colourful, radio-friendly sounds, and 2026 has been a busy calendar: he linked Tinny on ‘Yaanom’, Ayisi on ‘Everlasting’, and jumped on Keeny Ice’s ‘3RD EYE’. The man is collecting features like Kejetia traders collect change.

Kweku Darlington — Emmanuel Kweku Owusu Darlington — is the voice that gave Ghana “Sika Aba Fie” in 2021 with Yaw Tog and Kweku Flick, the street anthem that pulled six nominations at the 2022 3Music Awards and sent every Kumasi boy to the mirror to practise money poses. Since then he has grown into one of the city’s most reliable melody men. This year alone: his project A Darling Thing, the single “Dance with You”, and a sweet guest turn on Flowking Stone’s ‘Angelina’. When a rapper needs a hook that sticks, Darlington’s number is on speed dial.

The Vibe: Pinstripes, Mirror Balls & Sweet Twi

Don’t let the title fool you into expecting ABBA. “Disco” is Ghana Afrobeats wearing a party outfit — the disco is the venue, not the genre. FreddyBeatz builds a lively, easy-to-follow bounce that sits right in the pocket for a Saturday crowd, and the two voices share the record properly instead of doing the usual “send me your verse on WhatsApp” arrangement. Darlington’s Twi hook leans romantic — there is talk of true love, odo nokware, and refusing to let worry spoil the night — while Strongman switches between Twi and punchy English lines the way Kumasi rappers have done since cassette days.

That contrast is the whole magic. Strongman’s register is sharp and direct; Darlington’s is smooth and sing-song. Put them together and you get a record that a rap head can respect and an aunty can dance to without asking “what is he shouting?” It is looser, brighter, and honestly more fun than a man called Rap Lord has any right to be. Strongman in party mode is like your strict headmaster doing azonto at a funeral reception — surprising, but you no go complain.

Why “Disco” Matters Right Now

This is a reunion, and reunions in Ghana music carry weight. The pair first connected on “Focus” in April 2024 — another FreddyBeatz production that landed on God & Rap — and later that year both appeared on Kojoike’s “Enjoy Life”. Now they share top billing, which tells you the chemistry graduated from favour to partnership. FreddyBeatz back on the console? Same kitchen, new menu.

It also arrives on a Friday that was already crowded with Ghana heat. The same weekend Accra is spinning King Paluta and Fameye’s ‘Good Feeling’ and Quamina MP and Kofi Mole’s ‘ƐSHISHI’, Strongman and Darlington plant a flag for the Ashanti side of the map. Kumasi has had a loud 2026 — Kweku Flick linked Shatta Wale on ‘Sweet’, features are flying across the city — and “Disco” keeps that momentum polished and suited.

Then there is the calendar. November is when Ghana starts stretching for Detty December. DJs are building sets, diaspora flights are filling up, and every artist wants a wedding-to-club survivor. A dance-floor love record from two Kumasi favourites, with a cover that already looks like an event flyer, is exactly the kind of track that sneaks into December rotation and refuses to leave. See two guys in pinstripes at a Kumasi party in December? Don’t ask questions — “Disco” has been playing.
