Kumasi, we have a situation. Flowking Stone, the man who made rapid-fire Twi rap feel like a contact sport, has put down the battle gloves and picked up a rose. His new single “Angelina,” featuring Garden City crooner Kweku Darlington, landed on 8 October 2026, and it is a full-blown love letter. When a rapper who calls himself the most talented in Africa starts writing a woman’s name in gold ink, Charley, you know the matter is serious.

📌 Quick Facts

  • Artists: Flowking Stone ft. Kweku Darlington
  • Released: 8 October 2026
  • Producer: Beatz Fada
  • Label: Rapfam Entertainment
  • Genre: Highlife / Ghanaian Afropop
  • Length: 3:14

The Legend King From Kumasi

Born Kwaku Nsiah-Boamah, Flowking Stone is a KNUST biochemistry graduate who chose to build his empire from Kumasi instead of packing his bags for Accra. He first came up as one half of the rap duo Bradez with his brother Kunta Kinte, the pair behind “Simple” and “One Gallon,” before going solo with street favourites like “Go Low,” “Mekyeakyea” with Luther, “Fire Bon Dem” and the Gifted projects. His 2025 album Legend King and this year’s “Still Chilling” with King Paluta proved the pen is still sharp. Rapper, singer, keyboardist, the man does not rest.

Kweku Darlington Brings the Sugar

If Stone brings the bars, Kweku Darlington brings the melody your auntie will hum in the kitchen. The Kumasi singer, real name Emmanuel Kweku Owusu Darlington, blew up with “Sika Aba Fie” alongside Yaw Tog and Kweku Flick, then kept the streets talking with “Grateful To Your Ex,” “Every Ex Is Expired” and the recent “God’s Time” with Ko-Jo Cue. Yes, the man who told you to thank your ex is now helping somebody chase a new love. Character development.

The Vibe: Romance With Rap Seasoning

“Angelina” is the story of a man completely taken by one special woman and ready to go the extra mile to keep her smiling. Beatz Fada lays a warm highlife-meets-Afropop bed that gives both men space: Stone switches from punchline mode to smooth, sweet-talking flow, while Darlington’s chorus floats in like evening breeze on a Kejetia rooftop. The official artwork says it all: two gentlemen in dark shades, a golden sunset and a single rose. Very romantic, very Kumasi.

Why It Matters Now

Ghanaian rappers dropping love songs is not new, but a veteran like Flowking Stone doing it this convincingly shows range many of his peers are still chasing. Pairing with Darlington, one of the Ashanti region’s most dependable hook makers, gives the record a real chance on radio, at weddings and on those late-night Snapchat captions. For anybody named Angelina, your phone go ring plenty this weekend.
