Before anybody else could say it, AlorG said it himself: first off, I’m proud of G. And honestly, chale, who can blame him? The young Accra rebel dropped his new eight-track project “First Off I’m Proud Of G” on Friday, 16 October 2026, and by that same night he was on X shouting, “WE AT NUMBER 3! GOD IS THE GREATEST!” as the tape climbed the album charts in Ghana. On Tuesday morning it was still sitting at No. 9 on Apple Music Ghana’s Top Albums, rubbing shoulders with the biggest names on the board. Self-love has never streamed this well.
The timeline agrees. One fan wrote, “Alor G ein album be hard ooo,” another asked, “is it just me or Alor G is madddd underrated,” and somebody else reported that some boys had parked beside him “blasting” one of the songs. When strangers are parking cars just to play your music three days after release, you are doing something right.
⚡ The Drop in 30 Seconds
First Off I’m Proud Of G runs eight songs in a little over 19 minutes, so this is a no-long-talk tape: every track lands under three minutes, does its job and leaves. Stores file it as Afrobeats, and the guest list keeps things local and loud: Medikal jumps on “Chap Chap,” MANAMEPEE shares “Wowo,” and Suono Sai joins the fun on “Buss Am.” The rollout started in late September with the lead single “All Of A Sudden,” produced by uglyxtough, and the March single “Tomorrow” closes the tracklist. Produ B, who says he mixed and mastered seven of the eight songs, has been taking his victory lap online too.

Track by Track: Small Tape, Big Mouth
The opener, “All Of A Sudden,” brings back his old battle cry, “Down I’m a rebel,” before he admits, “So many problems, I no wan list am for you.” That is the AlorG formula in one line: real-life pressure, delivered with a shrug and a melody. “Mr Legit” is the early fan favourite; one listener simply replied, “Mr legit was made for me.” Then comes “S.A.S,” which AlorG decoded on X in words we cannot print in front of your grandmother, but the short version is that life is not sweet. On “Chap Chap,” Medikal brings the Accra rap swagger he has been flexing lately on ‘Sika’ with Shatta Wale, and AlorG’s own caption for it was just the title and three shouting-head emojis. Point taken.
The back half is pure enjoyment. “Life Of The Party” does exactly what the title promises, and one fan was vexed that it was left off somebody’s top-five list: “all the songs be bangers.” “Wowo” with MANAMEPEE got the Twi caption “Y3 b3 didi wowo” from AlorG, while “Buss Am” with Suono Sai became one of his most shared posts of the rollout after he wrote, “I Dey Buss Am.” Then “Tomorrow,” the RealSmart-produced single that warmed up the fans back in March, closes the tape. Eight songs, no skip button required.
The Cover: G for GOAT?
The artwork is a dark, red-tinted night photo of AlorG standing calmly in tall grass with his arms folded, while a whole herd of goats runs past in a blur in front of him. The title is scratched across the top in thin red hand-drawn letters, with a small “ALORG” at the bottom. A man standing still while the goats run around him, on a project called Proud Of G? We are not saying he is calling himself the GOAT. We are just saying the goats were invited.
Who Is AlorG?
AlorG is Alodia Kusi-Gyamfi, a Ghanaian singer-songwriter born in 2005 who grew up on the west side of Ghana. He told Radio Univers he deferred his studies at Accra Academy to chase music full-time, and it was at that same school that he met the duo Bhadmayors, the brothers he now calls family. Their song “Free My Mind” changed his life, and its remix pulled in the UK group NSG, a link-up he described as “a miracle.” His debut EP, Down I’m A Rebel, arrived in November 2024, set the tone for a fan base he greets as the Rebel Clan, and the word is even inked on his skin as a “Rebel” tattoo. Since then he has popped up on Sarkodie’s 2025 single “Put It On God,” whose lyric video has crossed half a million views (Sarkodie is busy again this month with KiDi on ‘Deja Vu’), plus “Champions” with DJ Adwoa, Olivetheboy and Camidoh, and 2Shuus’ “Balance” with Essumann.
Why First Off I’m Proud Of G Matters Now
Ghana’s new-school Afrobeats lane is crowded, and most young acts survive on one viral single at a time. AlorG went the other way: a tight, short project, local features, an Apple Music top-ten chart run and a fan base that actually quotes his lyrics back to him. The title itself is a lesson for every young creative in Accra waiting for applause that never comes: be your own hype man first. With Detty December loading, a 19-minute tape you can run back twice on one trotro journey from Circle to Madina is perfect timing. First off, we are proud of G too.
