Kashcoming Links Mavo on ‘SPEND SPEND’ — Hello Hello Reunion Money-Flex Afrobeats Out Now

Official Kashcoming SPEND SPEND featuring Mavo single cover art, ransom-note cut-out SPEND SPEND lettering over a maroon collage of cash stacks, poker chips, dice, a diamond, a private jet, a crossed-out One Way sign, two vintage eyes and a retro pin-up model, Kashcoming and Mavo names in the top corners and a Dapper logo at the bottom, in thin green The Ent News brand frame

Some songs come to heal your heart. Others come to empty your account. Kashcoming has picked the second option, and he has brought Mavo along to help carry the shopping bags. Their new single is called “SPEND SPEND” — two words, same word, no confusion. If the title alone has already made you check your mobile money balance, chale, you are not alone. We all felt it.

“SPEND SPEND” landed on Friday, 30 October 2026, right at the end of the month, when salary has just entered and common sense has not yet arrived. The record comes through Dapper Music & Entertainment, under license to Dvpper Digital, and it reunites the two Naija voices behind “Hello Hello”, which still sits at the top of Kashcoming’s most-played songs on Spotify. When a combination works once, the street will always ask for part two. This is the answer.

⚡ “SPEND SPEND” in 30 Seconds

Kashcoming leads, Mavo features, and the whole thing is done in a quick 2:36 — the length of one trip from the ATM to the bar counter. The stores file it under Afrobeats, it carries a clean tag (so yes, you can play it in the car with your auntie, just don’t explain the cover), and it is Kashcoming’s third release in three weeks after “CTRL” with Zaylevelten and his turn on Skiibii’s ‘Shakira’. For Mavo, it comes one week after his own solo flex ‘Goyard’. One man is spending, the other is wearing designer. October has been expensive, my people.

Who Is Kashcoming?

Kashcoming is Okekayode Ashiru, and his stage name has always been a prophecy he takes very seriously. He first broke through with “Saloo”, which later picked up a BNXN remix, before his 2023 debut EP On A Low gave Lagos the Amapiano favourite “How Low”. That song was so sticky it collected two big remixes — one with Zlatan and Rayvanny, another with Seyi Vibez — and it is still the kind of record DJs drop when they want the dance floor to obey.

He has not slowed down since. The More Kashcoming projects followed in 2024, the Blessed, I’m Not Lucky EP arrived in 2025, and this year he has been on a proper run: “Bololo” with Lojay in June, “Chaser” in August, “CTRL” with Zaylevelten in early October — the same Zaylevelten from Cruel Santino’s ‘Big Drop’ — and then “Shakira” with Skiibii and WiiLii a week later. Kashcoming does not do quiet seasons. Every Friday is a possible payday.

Enter Mavo: Burbur Energy on Loan

Mavo is Oseremen Marvin Ukanigbe from Ekpoma, Edo State, and if you have been anywhere near a Lagos party in the last year, you have heard him. “Escaladizzy” with Wave$tar turned him into a street favourite and earned a remix with Zlatan, Shallipopi and Ayra Starr. “Shakabulizzy” pulled Davido in for a remix, “Money Constant” put him next to Wizkid, and his CKay collaboration “Body (Danz)” gave him a No. 1 in Nigeria. He calls his sound “Burbur”, he speaks his own slang the fans call “Bizzylingua”, and he has become the feature everybody wants — Tiwa Savage and Wande Coal on ‘Energy’, Gyakie and KJ Spio on ‘Call Me’, DJ 808 on ‘Shenk Me’.

And here is the fun part: Mavo turns 23 on 1 November, two days after “SPEND SPEND” dropped. A song about spending money, released right before your birthday weekend? That is not a coincidence. That is a budget proposal.

The Vibe: Ransom Notes and Rolling Dice

Before you even press anything, the cover tells you what kind of evening this is. “SPEND SPEND” is spelt out in cut-out magazine letters, like a ransom note — except the only thing being kidnapped here is your savings. Behind it sits a wild maroon collage: thick stacks of dollars, towers of gold coins, poker chips, dice in mid-roll, a sparkling diamond, a private jet, and a “ONE WAY” street sign with the “ONE” crossed out, as if to say the money only goes one direction — out. Two vintage eyes stare at you from both sides, one holding an 8-ball, the other a dollar sign, while a retro pin-up model lounges in the middle of the cash like she owns the bank. Kashcoming and Mavo’s names sit in the top corners, with the Dapper logo stamped at the bottom.

It is loud, cheeky and a little reckless — which is exactly the energy you want from this pairing. The two already proved their chemistry on “Hello Hello”, and they also crossed paths on “Too Busy” from Mavo’s Kilometer II. Kashcoming brings the smooth street-pop bounce he has been polishing since “How Low”, Mavo brings the playful, slang-heavy chaos that has made him a social-media favourite, and the tight runtime means nobody overstays their welcome. In and out, like a big man paying the bill before anyone can argue.

Why “SPEND SPEND” Matters Right Now

Look at the calendar. November is here, Detty December is warming up, and from Lagos to Accra, everyone is quietly preparing to spend money they have not yet made. A short, catchy Afrobeats record with a two-word chant for a title is the perfect soundtrack for that season of bad financial decisions and good memories. DJs need songs the crowd can shout back after one listen. “SPEND SPEND” was practically built for that job.

It is also a smart move for both men. Kashcoming is stacking releases at a speed that keeps his name on every new-music playlist, and a return to the Mavo formula is the safest bet in his catalogue. Mavo, meanwhile, keeps proving that he can jump onto anybody’s song and make it feel like his own. Put the two together just before the festive rush and you get a record that feels less like a release and more like a strategy. Wallet, be strong. We are praying for you.
