joki Links Zinoleesky on ‘Bullion Van’ — Lagos Street-Pop Money-Moves Flex Out Now

In Lagos, when a bullion van passes, traffic behaves. Okada riders shift, danfo drivers suddenly remember their lane, and everybody quietly wonders how much money is sitting behind that steel door. joki and Zinoleesky have taken that picture and turned it into a two-minute flex. Their new single “Bullion Van” is not asking if you have small change. It is telling you the cash comes with armed escort.

The song dropped on Friday, 16 October 2026 through error:ops, the label home of joki’s releases, after the official audio premiered on joki’s YouTube channel the night before. An official visualizer, shot in Lagos, followed on Sunday, 18 October. It is a meeting of two very different journeys: a DJ-producer whose catalogue moves between European dance floors and Naija street-pop, and the Agege boy who now runs his own label. Somehow, the van carries both of them comfortably.

⚡ The Drop in 30 Seconds

“Bullion Van” is a lean 2:16 of Afrobeats and street-pop, built for repeat plays. joki produced it and shares writing credit with Zinoleesky and the songwriter Anth’m. Zinoleesky carries the lead vocals, sliding between Pidgin, English and Yoruba like a man changing gears on Third Mainland Bridge at 2 a.m. It carries no explicit tag, so yes, you can play it in the car with your auntie, although she might start asking where your own bullion van is parked. Small heads-up for the street-pop historians: Seyi Vibez had a different 2022 song with the same title. Same name, different van.

The Vibe: Money in the Van, Gbedu in the Speaker

The story of “Bullion Van” is the oldest one in street-pop: they doubted me, now they are dancing to my song. Zinoleesky opens with the people who said he did not try hard enough and did not want him to shine, then flips it with one clean line about his gbedu making those same people dance. The hook is pure chant material. “Money in a bullion van, van, van, van” is the kind of chorus that gets stuck in your head on Monday and is still there by Friday.

In the verse he plays with the word “bullion” and lands on being “one in a million”, then goes passport-stamping from Paris to Monaco. There is a nod to the days when nobody took his crew seriously, and a quick Yoruba run that the Lagos crowd will sing back louder than the English parts. joki keeps the beat light and bouncy, never crowding the voice, so Zino has plenty of room to glide. At just over two minutes, the song ends before you are ready, which is exactly why your thumb goes straight back to replay. Chale, it is short, but it is not small.

The Visualizer and the Cover: Lagos Nights, Purple Crowns

The visualizer keeps it simple and effective. It was filmed in Lagos at night: headlights, palm leaves, low blue and pink light, and the two artists dancing beside a car with purple doodles scribbled around them on screen. It feels like the after-party where the money already landed.

The single cover tells the same story in still form. The two men are photographed from below on a dark street between old buildings, one in a white tee, black vest and a chunky ZZ chain, the other with bleached hair, round tinted shades and a pinstriped baseball jersey. Purple crowns float over both heads, with “Bullion Van” scrawled across the night sky in rough purple letters.

Who Is joki?

joki, who also goes by joki.mp3, is a DJ, producer and artist whose music lives where Afrobeats meets dance music. His catalogue is a passport on its own: collaborations with Norwegian DJ Tungevaag and Dutch producer Sam Feldt sit next to records with Nigerian heavyweights. In 2025 he linked up with Ruger and Mugisho on the breezy “Malaika”, then teamed up with 1da Banton on “Agba Baller”, which made the Official Nigeria Top 100. In 2026 he has already worked with Pa Salieu and Daecolm on “Never Never”, BoyPee on “Olisa”, Ric Hassani on “Need To Know” and FAVE on “Sundown”.

He knows how to make a beat that works in a beach club in Europe and on a Lagos street corner at the same time, and he is happy to step back and let a vocalist shine. On “Bullion Van”, he produces, co-writes and shares the artist credit, but the beat is clearly built around Zinoleesky’s flow.

Who Is Zinoleesky?

Zinoleesky, born Oniyide Azeez in Agege, Lagos, first caught attention with viral freestyle videos before signing to Naira Marley’s Marlian Music in December 2019. His debut project Chrome Eccentric carried “Ma Pariwo” and “Kilofeshe”, the songs that pushed him into the mainstream, and he kept the hits coming with “Gone Far”, “Rocking”, “Call of Duty” and “Personal”, plus the projects Grit and Lust and Gen Z.

In April 2026 he started a new chapter with his own label, Zinodict Music, opening with “Nostalgia”. He has stayed busy since, from the luxury flex of “Dantata” to signing Waziyung as Zinodict’s first artist in October. Fun detail for the credit readers: the name Azeez Shina Oniyide on the “Bullion Van” songwriting credits is Zino himself.

Why “Bullion Van” Matters Now

For Zinoleesky, this is another sign that the independent era is working. After going solo with Zinodict, he has been picking features that stretch his sound without losing his street-pop identity. Last month he gave Ayo Maff the hook energy on “Malaria”, and now he hands joki a voice that the streets already trust.

For joki, a Zinoleesky feature is the biggest name on his Naija run so far, and it opens his music to a whole new street-pop crowd at home. And for the wider Afrobeats scene, it shows how easily the sound now travels. A producer with one foot in European clubs and a singer from Agege can meet in the middle and make something that feels at home in both places. Short, sharp and full of swagger, “Bullion Van” is the kind of record that turns small celebrations into big ones. Load the van and drive.
