Some love songs walk. Some run. This one decided to fly. Lagos street-pop favourite Rybeena has linked up with Nigeria’s Queen of Afro-House, Niniola, on “Carried Away (Oke Agba),” a fresh single released on 9 October 2026 through Dapper Music & Entertainment. The cover sets the mood before the first note: two silhouettes floating hand in hand through golden clouds while giant bees buzz around them like uninvited wedding guests. Chale, when the man they call Mr Bee says he is carried away, believe him. The bees have already confirmed.

📌 Quick Facts

  • Type: Single
  • Label: Dapper Music & Entertainment
  • Producer: Japhet “Japh” Kenti
  • Executive Producer: Dapper
  • Genre: Afrobeats / Afrosounds
  • Length: 2:41

The Record: Two Voices, One Cloud

Production comes from Japh Kenti, the same hands behind Rybeena’s playful 2025 hit “Spaghetti,” and the partnership makes sense. Kenti knows how to give Rybeena’s Yoruba-laced, street-smart melodies room to breathe, and this time he has a second lead voice to frame. Rybeena brings the Lagos swagger and the street melody; Niniola brings the vocal weight of a woman who has been making dance floors sweat for over a decade. At 2 minutes 41 seconds, the song is built for the replay button. By the time you finish asking “who sang this?”, it has started again.

The pairing is the real story. Rybeena’s sound is often described as Afro-Adura, prayerful Yoruba melody riding Afrobeats and Afro-piano grooves. Niniola built her name on Afro-House, the Afrobeats-meets-house style she championed with Sarz-produced records like “Ibadi” and the continental smash “Maradona.” One is a fast-rising voice of the new street-pop class, the other is a certified pioneer. Put them in the same cloud and you get a love song with both hustle and polish.

Who Is Rybeena?

Born Adewale Atanda in Lagos, Rybeena broke through in October 2023 when “ID.ME” caught fire on TikTok. He followed up with “Wise 2.0” featuring Olamide in 2024, “Prodigal,” the Virtuoso EP in March 2025, “Adunni” with Joeboy, and his October 2025 project Mr Bee. In 2026 he has stayed busy, scoring a million-plus YouTube views with “Sunita” alongside TML Vibez and jumping on “Clock It” with Berri-Tiga. The man features like he is collecting stamps in a passport.

Who Is Niniola?

Niniola Apata, elder sister of Teni, first caught national attention on Project Fame West Africa in 2013. “Maradona” (2017) topped South Africa’s Metro FM chart, earned BET Awards and SAMA nominations and got a DJ Snake remix. Her catalogue since then includes the 2024 album Press Play, “Formula” with Pheelz, SPINALL’s “EXCITED,” the Without You EP in August 2026 and her September single “Tika.” Two drops in two weeks: Auntie Nini is not resting.

Why It Matters Now

Nigerian pop right now is crowded with street anthems and amapiano log drums, so a soft-flying love record from two Yoruba-singing stylists stands out. It also shows how Dapper Music is building Rybeena: big-name partners, steady releases and a growing following at home and across the diaspora. From Lekki lounges to Osu night spots, this one should find its way onto couples’ playlists before the weekend ends.
