Some people wait for a chance. Winnerman asked for one on record, and the universe answered with a Davido verse. Winnerman and Sabushebu have dropped Give Me Chance (Remix) featuring Davido, out 16 October 2026 — and just like that, the Edo-born Afro-fusion act who only released his first EP in April now has 30BG’s landlord standing on his song. Chale, if this is how God answers “give me chance,” then make we all start praying in melody.

The original “Give Me Chance” came out on 1 April 2026 and became one of the anchor records on Winnerman’s debut project. Six months later, the remix keeps the same plea, the same duo energy, and adds the one voice in Nigerian pop that can turn a growing song into a group-chat emergency overnight.

Who Is Winnerman?

Winnerman is the stage name of Ehigie Moses Ikeakhe, an Afro-fusion singer and songwriter born in 1994. His people are from Uromi in Esan North East, Edo State, but he was born and raised in Benin City — and he wears that Edo pride like a fresh agbada on a Sunday. He describes his sound as “a blend of Afrobeat, melody and rhythm” built to travel.

And travel is not just talk for him. The man studied at Florida International University in Miami, Synergy University in Moscow and the University of Sunderland in London, so his passport get more stamps than some Lagos club wristbands. His first track, “Nobody Gat What We Gat,” dropped back in 2016. After the “Mon’ami” single in 2025, he finally served the full plate in April 2026: Winnerman’s Universe, with “Go Hard,” “Mon’ami,” “Give Me Chance,” “Go Crazy,” “Koni” and a fresh take on “Nobody Gat What We Gat” with Badboyquest. Off the mic, he co-founded Born Winners Empire, a creative brand stretching into media, hospitality, fashion, branding and animation. Hustle get many branches, abeg.

Sabushebu: The Original Partner in Crime

Sabushebu was there from day one. The original “Give Me Chance” was billed as Winnerman featuring Sabushebu; on the remix, the credit levels up to a proper joint billing — Winnerman & Sabushebu — before Davido walks in. That is the kind of loyalty Afrobeats needs more of: the person who rode with you when the song was small still dey the car when the big man enters.

Davido Enters the Chat

Davido does not need introduction, but let us do protocol small. Davido dropped his album Oriadé on 31 July 2026, then announced Oriadé: The Residency, three nights at Lagos’s National Theatre from 17 to 19 December. In between, the 30BG captain has kept the feature button warm — the international “Spend Dat” remix, FOLA’s “2am in toronto,” MAVO’s “Shakabulizzy” remix. Davido jumping on an emerging artist’s record is practically a Nigerian music tradition at this point, and it is one of the reasons he keeps winning goodwill from Accra to Abuja.

His real name, David Adeleke, sits in the writing credits right next to Ehigie Ikeakhe’s, so this is not just a name on the cover for decoration — OBO helped pen his part.

The Vibe: A Plea With Polish

The title says everything. “Give Me Chance” is that universal Naija-Ghana plea — the “abeg, just one try” energy every lover, every upcoming artist and every man in the queue for a visa understands. EgarBoi, credited on the cover, is the same producer behind the original, so the remix keeps its Afro-fusion DNA while three voices take turns pressing the same case. The cover art matches the mood: a red film-strip with all three men in shades, like movie stars in a Lagos-meets-old-Hollywood poster. At 3:30, it gets in, says what it needs to say, and leaves you reaching for replay.

Why It Matters Now

October 2026 is heavy with album rollouts and Detty December warm-ups, and in that noise, an emerging act needs a megaphone. For Winnerman, this remix is exactly that — the debut-EP standout from April getting a second life with one of the biggest names in African music on it. For Davido fans, it is another chance to hear him in feature mode before the residency lights come on. And for DJs from Accra to Benin City, it is a fresh one to slide into the set when the crowd needs a chorus they can shout at the ceiling.

So yes, give the song a chance. That is literally what it is asking for.
