In Ghana, nobody asks for “more jollof” quietly. You say it with your whole chest, plate already raised, eyes daring the auntie in charge of the pot to refuse you. So when Kumasi’s Beeztrap KOTM names his new single “More Jollof”, he is not just choosing a song title — he is walking straight into the most dangerous kitchen in West Africa, where Ghana and Nigeria have been fighting over one rice dish for longer than some of us have been alive.

“More Jollof” landed on streaming platforms on Friday, 30 October 2026, with the official audio landing on Beeztrap’s YouTube channel just after midnight. Production is credited to TwoBars, the record comes through Way Up Gang Entertainment, and it arrives less than two weeks after Beeztrap turned 27 on 17 October. Birthday month, fresh pot, steam still rising. Chale, the timing is not an accident.

⚡ “More Jollof” in 30 Seconds

“More Jollof” is a solo Beeztrap record — no guest verse, no crowd of features, just the man and the pot. It runs a tight 2:36, and the stores file it under Afrobeats rather than rap, which tells you the Asakaa general has come with his singing apron on. It is his first lead single since “Highly” in late August, after a long run of guest appearances on other people’s songs. In short: the man has been cooking for everybody else for two months, and now he is finally serving his own plate.

Who Is Beeztrap KOTM?

Born Edwin Eshun on 17 October 1999 in Kumasi, Beeztrap KOTM went to Kumasi Anglican Senior High School before the streets of the Garden City handed him a different syllabus. He started putting out music in 2018 with records like “Cinderella” and “Distance Relationship”, and as the Asakaa drill wave turned Kumasi into Ghana’s loudest rap laboratory, he became one of its leading faces. The thing that separates him from the pack, though, is range: drill, hiplife, hip hop, Afrobeats and highlife all live in the same house, and he moves between rooms without knocking.

The receipts are solid. His 2023 EP Different Type of Gangster brought in O’Kenneth, Reggie and City Boy. In 2024, “Fly Girl” with Oseikrom Sikanii became a proper moment, and the remix pulled in Gyakie. That run earned him Next Rated Act at the 2024 3Music Awards, and in 2025 he collected Best New Artiste at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards — the same year his 16-track debut album Power arrived with Sarkodie and Gyakie on board. Kumasi boy, national trophy. Your favourite rapper’s uncle could never.

In the Kitchen: TwoBars, Way Up Gang and a Busy 2026

Every good pot needs a cook you can trust, and on “More Jollof” that job belongs to TwoBars, the credited producer, with the release carried by Way Up Gang Entertainment. A steady hand in the kitchen matters, because if you have been paying attention, 2026 has been Beeztrap’s busiest kitchen yet. He linked Sarkodie again on “Peace Of Mind” in May, dropped “EXPENSIVE SILENCE” in June, then came back with “Gangsta” and “Highly” in August. After that, he turned into the feature everybody wanted to book. He jumped on Kwartengg’s ‘Charging’ at the end of September, slid onto Big Timmy’s ‘LEVELS’ in October, joined Reggie on CHICOGOD’s “ASAKAA PARTY”, and showed up on Cojo Rae’s Gen Z Highlife project. He even appears on LAMI JNR’s new album STILL ON GOD, which dropped the same day as “More Jollof”. Same day! The man is serving two tables at once and still not spilling soup.

That is why “More Jollof” feels important. After weeks of making other people’s songs hotter, Beeztrap is reminding everyone whose name is on the restaurant signboard.

The Vibe: One Pot, Plenty Steam

Look at the cover first, because it is doing serious marketing work. “More Jollof” is written in a big, curly cream script, the kind you see on a cake for a wedding you were not invited to, with a small winking cartoon face hanging off the last letter like it knows something you don’t. Below it sits an old, battered metal pot — the type that has survived three generations of family parties — piled high with jollof, steam still rising, all against a warm brown-orange backdrop. At the bottom, a neat Beeztrap KOTM logo signs the dish like a chef’s stamp. No models, no flashy cars, no big chains. Just rice and confidence.

That simplicity matches the record’s lane. Going by the Afrobeats tag, TwoBars hands Beeztrap a melodic canvas instead of a cold drill beat, and the short runtime keeps it lean — in and out before the rice gets cold. For an artist whose best moments, like “Fly Girl”, came when he let the melody lead, this kind of record plays straight to his strengths. And the title alone is pure group-chat bait: one mention of jollof and every Ghanaian and Nigerian on your timeline suddenly has a strong opinion and a family recipe to defend.

Why “More Jollof” Matters Right Now

Timing is everything, and Beeztrap has read the calendar well. Detty December is loading, Accra and Kumasi are preparing for weeks of parties, and nothing says end-of-year celebration like a big pot of jollof. A short, feel-good Afrobeats single with a food-fight title is exactly the kind of song that can sneak onto DJ sets, party playlists and TikTok kitchen videos without asking permission.

It also sharpens his position in the wider Ghana conversation. The Asakaa generation has spent years proving it can rap. Now the question is which of its stars can also sit comfortably on mainstream Afrobeats radio. Beeztrap has been answering that question one melodic single at a time, and with a new Afrobeats solo record, a busy features calendar and Ghana Music Awards hardware already on the shelf, he is building a strong case. Ghana or Nigeria, whose jollof sweet pass? We will leave that one for the comments. But whose “More Jollof” is out today? That part is settled.
