Who would have thought that two brothers from Stockholm, a city where the sun takes leave for half the year, would be the ones to package sunshine for Lagos? Swedish production duo Moonshine have rounded up Naija vibe merchant Minz and Benin City’s own Qing Madi for “What A Feeling”, a fresh Afrobeats single that landed on 9 October 2026. On paper, it looks like a geography test. In your headphones, it sounds like a passport stamp nobody needs to queue for.

The Vibe: Stockholm Polish, Lagos Pepper

“What A Feeling” is short, sweet and built for replay: two minutes and thirty-six seconds of Afrobeats that does not waste your data on long intros. Moonshine handle production alongside Joseph Abiagom and Kainga Emmanuel Oyeinmomoemi, and the brothers mixed and mastered the record themselves, so the low end sits clean and the vocals float right on top. Minz brings that smooth, slightly mischievous delivery that turned “wo wo” into a favourite, while Qing Madi adds the soft-but-sharp tone that has carried her from TikTok clips to big stages. The result is the kind of song you play once to check it out, then catch yourself playing again “just to confirm”.

Even the cover art is in holiday mode. It is an anime-style scene on the deck of a sailing ship under a wide blue sky, two shades-wearing figures studying a treasure map while their crew climbs the mast. Chale, if this one does not make you want to book a boat cruise you cannot afford, nothing will.

Who Are Moonshine?

Moonshine are brothers Victor and Oliver Simic, a producer and DJ duo from Stockholm. They first broke through in 2019 with a slap-house take on “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” alongside Winati and Bellman, which became a viral European hit, and followed it with a remake of “What Is Love” featuring Dutch singer Twan Ray. Lately, the brothers have been moving steadily towards African sounds: an Afro-house run with Lucas Estrada and Naarly on “Don’t Keep Me Waiting”, “Wonder” and “Do U Wanna”, and “Like Shakira” with Oxlade and French star Vegedream in February 2026. “What A Feeling” is the next step on that journey, and this time they went straight to the source.

Minz & Qing Madi: The Naija Engine Room

Minz is the Nigerian singer behind “wo wo”, the 2022 sleeper that grew legs and got a 2023 remix with BNXN and Blaqbonez. Ghanaian listeners may know him too: he appeared on ChopLife SoundSystem’s “See Something” with Mr Eazi, Shatta Wale, DJ Neptune and Medikal, and in March 2026 he linked Juls and Kojo Blak on “PERFECT”. Add SPINALL’s “Everyday” to his CV, and you can see why producers keep calling.

Qing Madi, born Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma in Benin City, broke out with “See Finish” in 2022 before “Ole” featuring BNXN turned her into a household name. Apple Music named her in its Rising Class of 2024 alongside Odumodublvck and Tyla, she landed a “Vision” remix with Chlöe, and she now runs her own imprint, KFMD. Barely into her twenties, she already sounds like someone who knows exactly what she wants from a song.

Why It Matters Now

European dance producers have been circling Afrobeats for years, but plenty of those collabs feel like a stranger who learned “how far” from YouTube trying to greet you at a funeral. “What A Feeling” lands differently because Moonshine handed the steering wheel to two artists who actually live the sound. Cool FM Nigeria already had it spinning on release day, and it showed up across New Music Friday lists all weekend. For Ghana, it is one more reminder that the Afrobeats map now stretches from Accra and Lagos to Stockholm, and everybody wants a seat on the boat.
