Some people announce themselves with a long press release. Big Timmy announced himself with a car wheel. The rapper’s new single “LEVELS”, featuring Asakaa heavyweight Beeztrap KOTM, landed on 10 October 2026, and the cover art alone tells you the brief: a gleaming alloy rim on dark tarmac, with the word LEVELS stencilled across the road like a warning sign. Translation for those at the back: this one is not for people still pushing their car to the fuel station.

The Vibe: Clean Rims, Heavy Bars
“LEVELS” runs for three minutes and sixteen seconds, and the title does the heavy lifting before the first bar drops. This is a rap record built on the oldest argument in the culture: we are not on the same level, and we never were. M Fresh handles production, while Big Timmy wrote the song himself, so whatever flex you hear is coming straight from his own notebook, not borrowed from a ghostwriter’s WhatsApp voice note. The car imagery on the artwork sets the mood perfectly. Think polished, low-to-the-ground and a little bit show-off, the sound of somebody who has changed gear and wants the whole street to hear the engine.
Who Is Big Timmy?
Big Timmy is a fresh name, and he is moving like a man in a hurry. His public catalogue only kicked off in early September 2026 with a self-titled release carrying “BATTLEFIELD” and “Tell dem”. On 9 October he dropped another single, and barely twenty-four hours later he was back with “LEVELS”. Two singles in two days? Chale, some of us cannot even reply two emails in two days. Landing a co-sign from one of Ghana’s most decorated young rappers this early in the journey is a statement in itself.
Beeztrap KOTM: The King Of The Moment Pulls Up
Beeztrap KOTM, born Edwin Eshun in Kumasi, is one of the leading figures of the Asakaa drill movement, known for blending drill with hiplife, hip hop, Afrobeats and highlife. He started out in 2018 with records like “Cinderella” and “Distance Relationship”, then turned up the heat with the 2023 EP Different Type of Gangster and the 2024 smash “Fly Girl” featuring Oseikrom Sikanii, later remixed with Gyakie. He won Next Rated Act at the 2024 3Music Awards and Best New Artiste at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, then dropped his debut album Power in August 2025.
He has not slowed down in 2026 either: “Peace Of Mind” with Sarkodie in May, “EXPENSIVE SILENCE” in June, the fiery “GANGSTA” in August, and a steady run of features, including Kwartengg’s “Charging” just a couple of weeks ago. When the King Of The Moment shows up on your second-day single, it means somebody believes the levels are real.
Why It Matters Now
Ghana rap in 2026 is a crowded highway. Asakaa veterans, hiplife survivors and brand-new names are all fighting for the same lane, and listeners have no patience for anyone driving at 20km/h. Big Timmy’s strategy is simple: release fast, link a proven name, and let the music do the talking. For Beeztrap, it is another chance to show why producers and new names keep calling his number. For the rest of us, it is a reminder that every big name was once a new name with a bold title and a nice cover.
