Some songs knock on your door politely. “Lalakula” just walks in, sits on your sofa and asks why the fridge is empty. Rising Lagos singer Txmmyily has rounded up Benin City firecracker Famous Pluto and underground favourite Zaylevelten for a high-energy street-pop link-up that dropped as October 2026 opened. At about two and a half minutes, it is short, loud and very sure of itself. Chale, by the time you ask “what is Lalakula?”, the song don finish and you are pressing replay.
Who Is Txmmyily?
Txmmyily is one of the young voices who grew up online and built a career one upload at a time. He arrived with “Rack$” in 2022, flirted with indie and bedroom-pop colours, then leaned firmly into Afropop. “Body Work” with Mavo crossed a million streams, “Angelina” kept the fire going, and “Jaiye,” produced by Dan Akins, turned into a proper enjoyment anthem in September 2025. This year he levelled up again with the Milly EP in May, carrying “Wassup,” “Soke,” “In my Benzo” and “Shoki” with Zaylevelten, before following up with “1 of 1” in August. “Lalakula” arrives through AntagonistsMusic and Lizzy Records, the same home that carried his recent run.
The Features: Pluto and Zay
Famous Pluto needs small introduction. The Benin City singer, younger brother of Shallipopi, rose with “Na Scra” in 2025, dropped the Uzama The 3rd EP that June and followed with his debut album Street Therapist in 2026. Zaylevelten, meanwhile, is that cool underground figure whose smooth delivery has already blessed “Shoki” with Txmmyily and “Chose Me” with Pluto. So this is not three strangers meeting at a bus stop. These guys have studio history, and you can hear the chemistry.
The Vibe
“Lalakula” runs on a fast, bouncy groove built for clubs, parties and dance videos. The theme is pure soft life: enjoyment, good energy and zero room for stress. The hook is repetitive in the best way, the kind your tongue catches before your brain approves. Pluto brings his trademark animated energy, Zay cools things down with a smoother verse, and Txmmyily holds the centre like the host who knows everybody’s name. Even the cover art, with the three of them drawn as cartoon characters in dark shades, tells you nobody came here to be serious.
Why It Matters Now
Nigeria’s new-school street-pop moves at internet speed, and “Lalakula” is a clean example of how the game works now: short clips first, buzz second, full song when the people are already begging. For Txmmyily, linking two of the scene’s busiest young voices puts his name in front of a much bigger crowd. For us in Accra, it is one more Lagos-meets-Benin record to test on the speaker this weekend. If your friend group no get “Lalakula” dance yet, my brother, start practising.
