2023 BET Awards: Camidoh Nominated In Best New International Act category.

​Ghanaian musician, Camidoh has received a nomination in the Viewer's Choice: Best New International Act category of the 2023 BET Awards. Camidoh was nominated along with other international artists like Asake, FLO, Libianca, Maureen, MC Ryan SP, Paris Cooper, Ray, and Werenoi.

Apart from Camidoh’s nomination, other talented musicians also made the list, including Chris Brown, Beyoncé, H.E.R., Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Drake, Cardi B, Future, and Tems. The Awards come in different categories such as Album of the Year, Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Best Group, Best Collaboration, Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Video of the Year, Viewer’s Choice Award, Best International Act, BET Her, Best Movie, Best Actor, Best Actress, YoungStars Award, Sportswoman of the Year Award, and Sportsman of the Year Award.


The BET Awards is an American award show that honors Black music and culture. The first BET Awards ceremony was held in 2001 and is majorly focused on awarding artists, actors, and athletes who had excelled all through the year in their respective fields. The ceremony is usually attended by distinguished personalities in the music industry. 


Camidoh's nomination in the Viewer's Choice: Best New International Act category is a significant milestone in the career of the young Ghanaian musician, and it reaffirms Ghana's place in the African music industry. We hope to see Camidoh bringing the award home. The BET Awards ceremony is scheduled to hold in 2023.
